One Extension, Two Mailboxes
This gives you an Operator extension with voicemail notification
and General delivery notification at same extension.
After logging into the box 100, go into admin then press 6 to
set up message notification. It will say not initialized, then
the screen will show EXT: enter in 221. Then set the times that
you want to notify the extension (8am-5pm). After a message is
left in mailbox 221, it will show up in the display as 'Msg for
you'. If a message is left for mailbox 100, the voicemail will
actually call the ext. When the person answers the phone it will
say that there is a message for "Genrai Delivery". Then in the
screen you'll see a softkey Log in button, press it and log into
mailbox 100 and get the message.

Voice Mail answering Multiple DID calls
on the Main Line
Voice Mail answering Multiple DID calls on the Main Line
The Voice Mail DN must be the same as the main DID Number.
(Example: If your dialing plan is 734-5500 and your Voice Mail
DN is 2250 you would go into
Configuration Programming and change the DN of the Voice Mail
from 2250 to 5500).
The Voice Mail must be the prime set on the target line of the
received number. The Voice Mail must
answer the target line under feature 983 Programming. Under feature
982 Programming the feature
must be set for answer line YES.
How do you
setup destination codes on a PRI system to route Emergency 911 calls
over copper trunks?
This topic should be considered an Advanced Norstar Programming
technique.
This FAQ assumes a Modular ICS with a 6.1 feature cartridge and
digital trunk interface connected to an ISDN-PRI.
Program the line type for two or more copper trunks (lines) to
Pool A. By default, all stations should have access
to Line Pool A, it is important to verify this in programming. Also,
check to make sure Route 001 uses Pool PRI-A.
Note that the dialing string 911 is included as both a restriction
and an override in the initial defaults for restriction filter
01. This arrangement prevents anyone from blocking calls for emergency
assistance on lines or sets using the default filter.
Add destination codes as follows:
DstCode Rte Absorbed
90 001 1
910 001 1
911 000 0
Note: 911 is the only dest code with zero absorbed digits
912 001 1
913 001 1
914 001 1
915 001 1
916 001 1
917 001 1
918 001 1
919 001 1
92 001 1
93 001 1
94 001 1
95 001 1
96 001 1
97 001 1
98 001 1
990 001 1
9910 001 1
9911 000 1
9912 001 1
9913 001 1
9914 001 1
9915 001 1
9916 001 1
9917 001 1
9918 001 1
9919 001 1
992 001 1
993 001 1
994 001 1
995 001 1
996 001 1
997 001 1
998 001 1
999 001 1
Always test each of the destination codes by placing test calls,
especially 911 and 9911. Also verify the calling number
and street address with the 911 operator when placing the 911
test calls.

How do I connect a Viking PA-2A pagings
amp?
Locate the 25pr to the second Station Amphenol plug.
1. Punch down one end of a cross-connect wire to the Bk/Sl (tip)
and Sl/Bk (ring) pairs. Connect the other end to the 4(tip) and
5(ring)screw-down pins of the Viking PA-2A. This is
your Audio pair.
2. Using another pair of cross-connect wire, punch-down one end
to the Yl/Bl (make) and Bl/Yl (common) pairs on the same 25pr
block. Screw down the other end of the "Make" to PA
amp screw-down pin 1, and the other end of the "common" to the
PA amp screw-down pin 4 along with the "tip" of the audio pair.
This is your control for paging.
3. The speaker wire is screwed-down on PA amp pins 3(+)and 4(-)
or copper, white.
4. The Battery Feed switch must be in the OFF position. Plug
in the power supply, adjust the
Paging volume control.
5. Page to the external speaker using FEATURE 62
